Wells Fargo IRE (Investment Real Estate) Group
Is this group traditional balance sheet CRE lending? The name makes it sound like it’s smaller/ business banking type deals (20+ unit apartments for some guy) vs. commercial / corporate banking with institutional sponsors. Any color?
Traditional balance sheet lending is called “real estate banking” at wells.
Work in CRE at Wells and can confirm that no CRE team within CIB has that name. Never heard of this team but it’s possible they may be on the commercial banking side for smaller clients.
Thanks. Here’s the posting

“Investor Real Estate” as part of the Commercial Banking Team. So like you said sounds like this different from CIB, and presumably smaller stuff…?
