What are your funniest Recruiter/Head-hunter stories?

Creating this thread because I'm dealing with recruiters almost on a daily basis (looking for a new challenge) and thought it would be interesting to see if I'm not the only that has the pleasure of dealing with such highly dysfunctional "professionals".

In what regard? Any suggestions for best practices when dealing with them?

Yes, they have a distorted sense of reality to say the least. They lie to both firms and candidates.

My understanding is many of the “best” roles are often held by recruiters, especially at the associate level. Any suggestions on how to deal with them, what to look out for, etc? I’ve just started engaging them and would appreciate any advice you can share. Do they lie about comp or about pushing your resume?
