What do you think of private capital advisory groups? EVR / PJT

Got offered a role at a RE Private Capital Advisory job for EVR/PJT.How feasible is exiting to REPE or development?

For those that don’t know they do a lot of fundraising / SMA type transactions.

Out of curiosity, what is private capital advisory?

Raise equity for PE fundraising or SMA. Also do recaps / continuation vehicles but that’s not as common with this market.

Equity raising role but pays very well. 115k base + 60-90% bonus for a first year. Considered investment banking but not your traditional real estate investment banking groups where you do REIT M&A and shit

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I was under the assumption that PCA or RECA was much more focused on the fund so to jump to acquisitions you aren’t increasing your repe experience level. Ie if you move after two years in IB you would be an analyst and if you did an additional two years in pca you’d still be an analyst upon moving. Thought the most common pca exit was IR. Repe is doable, especially coming from RECA since you’d know the RE market and big players, but you still don’t know the pe process, asset knowledge, or have those broker connections.
