What does Link Logistics RE do?
I can’t tell what they do based off of their website. I know they’re owned/largest client is Blackstone, and that they acquire properties for specific BS funds, but I don’t get what they are. *also obviously they deal in industrial RE last contact , supply chain, etc etc
Industrial developer. Look on their website. Huge in Irvine (Orange County) and NY
I can get behind Blackstone’s acronym now being BS
Lol
Development, Smaller scale acquisitions, asset management. By smaller scale I mean BX might take down a 100-200 building portfolio, Link will take down 10-30 building portfolio.
Link is effectively just a wholly owned operator of Blackstone’s industrial portfolio - almost think of them as a division of Blackstone. While they do have an acquisitions team and operations team, they still ultimately report to Blackstone for all major decisions but handled most of the asset management (leasing, property management, capital) with minimal Blackstone oversight.
Blackstone has been acquiring a lot of industrial/logistics assets for awhile now, Link is what they created to be the operating company for such. I'd speculate they are structuring Link to be ready and positioned for IPO or other sale if market pricing dictates this (this is the PE business model after all).
If they sold Link, they wouldn’t be fucked, but BX current employees would prob be drowning in work
