What fee for tipping specific transaction??
Let's say you know a broker is selling a building of 15 apartments, market value around $ 3 million.
And you know someone who is interested in acquiring this building. You drop the name of the selling broker to the prospective buyer. What fee would you charge in case the buyer ends up acquiring the building?
If the buyer has agreed to compensate you for the introduction, hopefully in writing, then said fee is extremely market and situation specific. Without knowing more detail, I would say 50-100 bps would be fair.
