What is CRE?
I see a lot of ppl talking about cre (commercial re right?). What are jobs/comp like in this field? I google it and I find Info about being an agent and broker, but I doubt this is what people are talking about. Thanks!
Hey Andrew, CRE refers to Commercial Real Estate. As for jobs in this industry, I recently completed an internship at a CRE firm as a research intern. In this internship, I was tasked with compiling large amounts of data from their database and constructing reports on deliveries of CRE for the coming years. Hopefully that gives you some insight.

Most people here mean CRE as the industry of owning/managing commercial real estate as an investment (or they are referring to the user CRE which happens also lol). Generally in this forum, CRE (like finance) is broken into its "buyside" (investment management, lending, development) and "sellside" (aka services, like brokerage, banking, appraisal, etc.).
