Aside from a select few firms, pay is very low across the board even at top name shops, and this is in consideration that it’s a MCOL city. Compensation tends to be at a 30-60% discount to other metros. Go to California or NY for fair comp.
Cost of living is also 30-60% cheaper than other metros
