Where to find construction pipeline information?

Is there anywhere online that one can find construction pipeline data for different metros? I know this data is accessible through services like Costar or REIS, but is there any other place one might be able to find this information?

You can try searching that metro area's economic development site. If it's a good one, it should have site plans, site approvals, zoning changes, etc. Some are terrible or non-existent while some have really good information but still not in a great format for quick viewing. You might get lucky and find one with an Excel export.

Probably part of the reason CoStar, and the like, keep their data so close to the vest because it's such a PITA to do a deep dive on your own.
