Which firm type would you go for for an AM role?
Currently working for a smaller shop, so looking to jump and in interview processes with two companies for an AM role, which I currently do, but looking to broaden the experience.
Option 1: Large investment RE-focused manager (think LIM/CBREIM)
Option 2: Big Bank AM arm (think GS/JPM, etc.)
Everything is pretty equal in terms of AUM, asset classes, and funds so really down to which type of company/brand name that will open more doors/will learn more at, I guess unless there's any other factors to consider I'm not thinking of.
