Which is better? Nuveen Real Estate or PGIM RE

Can't tell is this is a troll lol. Both are fine, figure out which team / role you like better (or presumably get an interview at either one first).
This guy probably worked at nuveen thus defending it. If there was league tables for real estate pgim would be higher than nuveen. Pgim manages more external capital and raises more than nuveen.
Not according to IREI 2020 rankings...

Comparing RE companies as a whole always struck me as a fruitless endeavor.
Honestly both are large, multi-strategy asset managers with huge real estate groups. I have mad respect for both, friends at both. I'd say PGIM has the longer, consistent history, where Nuveen is an amalgamation by acquisition (TIAA-CREF + Nuveen + Henderson as well as other smaller groups over time), so more "history" to PGIM by right.
Not sure the motivation of the OP, looking for a job? Or looking for a manager? Personally, I like Nuveen's co-investment for development platform, but PGIM good there too!

But if this is NYC, Nuveen has a great JV relationship with Taconic who does really cool NYC projects.
Thanks everyone. Does anyone know what pay is like at Nuveen? At the analyst level? I have a friend who works at PGIM RE so I’m familiar with their analyst pay
You can check the job postings online since they are a non profits the pay is usually at the end of the job description
