Why are Fannie Spreads overall lower than Freddie?
Does anyone have a clear answer to this? I am seeing overall 20-30bps lower spreads more recently on Fannie Loans than Freddie. Is it just stricter underwriting guidelines or the need to be more competitive to deploy capital?
Figured they would be relatively close here.
God that was a weird title to read as a Brit
Seems like Freddie is more flexible in that case...
