Wildflower - Anyone Familiar
They are a small development firm in NYC, they have a number of job postings that have gone up recently, anyone have any intel on them? I searched here didn't see anything, did some digging on LinkedIn wasn't great.
Just looking at their website, my guess (and this is 100% a guess) is that they own a small piece of a lot of storage and industrial deals but are pretending to be the majority GP.
You can usually tell when looking at a principal's bio when it's all buzzword bullshit or when these people actually have experience, and when I read "narrative-driven approach rests on the insight that existing real estate design typologies become outmoded as consumer and commercial trends evolve" all I see is I'VE NEVER DONE A DEAL IN MY LIFE in big neon letters.
Lol, I feel the same way... Also, the head of acquisitions seems like a kid and I assume he is the founder's son? Anyway, I see a lot of red flags, but there's not a ton of openings out there. Thanks for the insights
I actually develop in NYC (Unlike Ozy), these guys are the real deal and have a great reputation. It looks like the son was hired and there are two new guys on the website that I don't know.
Their JFK logistics center dev was impressive and their hamptons deal i heard they bought for 1mm an acre back in 2021/2022.
I know their whitestone project is still unleased, interesting to see who will lease it.
Most known for the massive film studio in Astoria.

Yeah Adam is a beast, though not great to work for. Ozy clearly has no idea that these are real players. They absolutely ripped their storage deals a few of which I financed.
I was pretty upfront about not having direct knowledge.
And I still hold to the fact that a 3 person team, one of whom is 25 and has essentially zero experience, are not capable of being "real players".
Maybe they are good at what they do. I'm sure they are. But I am 100% certain that a team of two and a half people are either (a) doing small deals, and no shame in that, or (b) have larger institutional partners who are providing the lion's share of the expertise and execution
