Go buy the book Foundations of Real Estate Financial Modeling by Roger Staiger. It’s a step by step guide to building real estate models. The bulk of the book is based on multifamily and the last chapters get into commercial and hotel. It covers acquisition, development, and equity waterfall.

It’s a really easy read - if you bought the book today on Amazon, it could arrive by tomorrow or Saturday and you could work your way through the book by the end of the weekend and be ready to complete a modeling test in an interview on Monday.

Spencer Burton/Adventures in CRE also does videos where he builds models from scratch and explains everything while doing it.
