Woodfield Development
Does anyone have any insights into the development side of Woodfield Development? I know they are very active in the Carolinas, and have a strong presence in DC, ATL, and have just opened offices in Miami and Dallas. Looks like your classic merchant build model and run like the old Trammell Crow Residential days, for example local partners running each market. They seem to build quality Multifamily product but fly under the radar a bit, for example there’s nothing on WSO about them. Ranked #21 in NMHC top developers 2022, and was number 9 in 2021. Any insights are very appreciated.
I’m familiar with them. Strong group. In my opinion they are not under the radar. They may not be spoken about as much, but if you’re in the industry active in the markets they play in, you’ll know them.
Thanks for the response. Any insights on corporate culture? How they differentiate themselves from the competition?
We’ve looked at a few of their deals. They make high quality product and have legit equity backing them. They have a pretty healthy pipeline in the works too.
I can’t speak to culture as much but our interactions have been friendly. A lot of family in the firm.
Really solid group that seems to consistently stay ahead of the curve in regards to site selection.
