Analyst at bank i'm applying to told me to put future experience on.........
SO an analyst at a bank I'm applying to (Boutique) told me to add a spring internship I have on my resume.
The internship starts in spring, and I submit my resume by no later then next Friday. He told me to add some bullets on as it's my only relevant "Finance," experience.
I'm just worried because he's just an analyst, if a VP/MD told me to I'd add it hands down.
Also, can an analyst help you get a first interview? Or is it mainly Vps/Mds?
Thanks!
If the analyst works at the firm your interviewing at, do what he says.
As for analyst getting you a first interview, depends on the firm, but typically analysts can definitely get someone an interview. Especially if the analyst is well respected amongst his/her seniors.
odd request from an analyst. Do you know this analyst well or only briefly from networking? Echoing Marcus above, I would lean towards listening to him because analysts, especially at boutiques, can sway things your way.
Yeah,
he works at the bank I'm applying to. I just know him through networking
So I should just add 2-3 bullet points of what my responsibilities will be? I know I def got the internship, and that I'll def be performing these responsibilities.
Also, I should only use the resume with the future experience for this specific bank, correct?
Thanks again guys.
