Big 4 vals -> IB/CD resume advice

Hi everyone,

For those you used to work in BVal before making the jump to IB or Corp Dev, how can I write about my project experience to be more appealing to M&A professionals? I'm particularly confused about the PPA experience - what points should I emphasis to make it sound like it's more forward looking? Note that the below projects except PPA aren't the norm, but more one-off projects.

· Selected transaction/project experience: o Private company (Pre-merger analysis) * Assisted in building a dynamic DCF model of three proposed merger scenarios, incorporating cash flow and CCA tax shield projections, and the potential synergies under each scenario * Performed due diligence over Management’s forecast assumptions, by analyzing historical revenue and expense trends at the individual entity levels * Prepared a slide deck to advise the client on potential issues to address in the new corporate structure

o Private company (Purchase price allocation) * Completed the purchase price allocation for a cross-border asset acquisition, by preparing DCF models to value the different intangible assets and goodwill, and the resulting taxable benefits * Gained insight into transaction rationale and the deal structure (locked-box mechanism) through analysis of the asset purchase agreement, company presentations, and conversation with the client

o Public international company (Subsidiary modelling project) * Conducted economic and industry research to identify key trends and risk factors in the region manufacturing markets, including economic impacts from COVID-19 * Currently working with the client to build a full-blown 3-statement pro-forma operating model of its international subsidiary, with detailed revenue and COGS drivers for the two product lines

Any tips would be much appreciated!
