Cancelled internship - should I put it on my CV?
Hello everyone, am about to recruit for 2021 IBD SA in London and had a solid, relevant 2020 internship lined up but it got cancelled because of COVID. My question is - should I bother putting it on my CV and if so where do you think would be the right place to put it?
i would suggest to put it in... at least it shows that you have gone through a hiring process. put it under work experience.
agree with this. no bullet points. just put the position, firm, dates, location. on the position line, add canceled due to COVID-19
Dude, it's basically fraud (not legally obviously). And you are going to have to put length on your resume, so you either lie and say you worked there for three months along with the bullet points, or you leave it blank. Not to mention, you will be asked during interviews. Look SA sophomore year really isn't that important. It's helpful but not worth lying about. Just focus on networking this summer.
I'm not sure i've ever encountered a legal "fraud"... He wasn't asking about lying either, lol.
As long as you clearly state that it was cancelled, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. That is ONLY ifyou acctually accepted the offer , not if you were in the interview process
