College Junior looking for resume advice for 2016 recruiting

Hey WSO,

I am a Junior at a non-target University looking for an internship for summer 2016. I know I don't really have a shot at SA IB spot for 2016, but I would like to work at a smaller firm to build experience for full-time recruiting after graduation. I have an interest in Sales & Trading but would be open to any finance opportunities for my Junior summer.

I didn't pick up an interest for finance until my sophomore year of college. My background is mainly with an internet start-up that I had success with but still new to the recruiting process with the finance industry.

Any insight would be appreciated, please don't hold back on suggestions.

Thanks everyone

Thank you I appreciate it, but my GPA isn't very strong mainly because of the start-up I was running my freshman/sophomore year in college.

I have a 2.9 gpa cumulative and feel like that hurts me in IB SA recruiting process, especially coming from a non-target.
