[Cover letter] Writing Motivation for Structuring

Hey guys,

I'm writing a paragraph on the motivation for Barclays Trading and Structuring internship role, wonder if you could help to critique? I struggle to write something about Barclays itself because I don't know their specific structuring desks and strengths (FX? based on old info around the forum) enough to write them (Only talked to past interns about their experience). Appreciate your comments in advanced! Thank you.

"My interest in structured products grew from the bespoke solutions and possibilities that they offer in the to the investors. I believe it would be a great fit given my interest in the intricacies of structured products and complex behavior of the financial market. Through this opportunity, I desire to gain experience within the world of financial markets and to engage in the end-to-end process of the product development, from origination to marketing and to closing a product. In contrast to my previous role, I want to be making a more direct contribution to drive the profitability of the Bank. In addition, to get myself acquainted with the concept of trading and to stay on top of markets, I am currently involved in the Leeds Trading and Investment Group trading competition in my university. Therefore, this role provides an ideal platform for me to become more creative and well-versed in the financial market and products in order to leverage the opportunities. The role mirrors my ambition of working in a competitive environment surrounded by successful and like-minded peers."

I am currently pursuing a master in aerospace engineering and I had a brief stint in a bank working in a management office at group level, so it's not very related to the business units.
