Critique my resume please

Hey guys,

I'm a freshman and I was hoping you could give me some tips for my resume. I'm looking for good summer internships (have got a private bank in India (big in India but no name outside), awaiting GE Capital, ABN AMRO and Barclays)). Since, ABN AMRO and Barclays said they would like an updated copy of resume as I sent them my previous one around early December, I was hoping you could help me clean it up before I send it to them.

I'm also pretty positive that I will maintain my GPA between 3.94 and 4.0 cumulative at the end of this year.

Thanks a lot!

I don't know if you are being sarcastic. I don't think my stats are spectacular. I just want to break into (most probably S&T) at a BB in Hong Kong. So, in order to beat all the other candidates, I need to get as high a GPA as possible, with good internships and a good network. The first step to the good internships this summer is to have a good resume.

1) I would use the same format M&I gives you. Yours is similar, but the other one looks better. 2) In your "Commodities and Trading Club" section, the verbs need to be past tense. 3) In the "Business" section, I would use more powerful verbs and then results. 4) Find an internship this summer.

Thanks for your comments.

I have to use this format because it is my business school's format and everything that requires a resume on my campus recommends this format.

I'm also worried that if I put it in past tense, people will assume it is done (we are still in the process of creating the algorithmic trading model (just starting really)).

Hopefully, these changes to my resume will help me land Barclays or ABN AMRO.
