Do I have a shot at an IBD SA position next summer?

Hello all,

I am going to be graduating a year later than expected due to transferring to a new university, therefore I may have another shot at landing a summer analyst position. I encourage all comments and criticisms!

Thanks in advance

  • Need to add an additional section with interests, languages and technical skills
  • Personally, I don't like your font as I think it looks unprofessional. If you want a serif font, stick with Times in my opinion
  • I would only put one of those two food distribution experiences, as they will add little value anyways
  • "General member" sounds weird. "Active member" might be better
  • I would emphasise more on your university investment club membership
  • "Extra curricular activities" or "Leadership activities" is better than "Involvement"

On top of aliasgoldman's comments:

  • Ensure font consistency: The font for your email, phone, address are not the same as the rest of your resume
  • Ensure grammar and spelling mistake-free: "asses" is missing an "s", and you just spelt asses (i.e. butts), and "including;" should not be an semi-colon, maybe a comma or a colon
  • Try to take a leadership role in any of your school involvement for the next term if still possible
  • On top of listing your interest, you can also list some of the skills/databases that you are comfortable with using
