Does the "skills" section matter on resumes anymore?
I was working on updating my resume to keep it current, and I'm debating what to do with my skills section. Considering we've all gone through banking/PE/PC, it seems like a given that we're proficient in DCFs, LBOs, 3-statement models, etc etc, and it would be 90% redundant to add at the bottom. Should I just include programming languages or additional skills my experience doesn't explicitly speak to? Even then, just saying you can do something doesn't seem like it would matter much. Curious to hear your thoughts.
