Frequently on job postings they want someone that has the valuation/modeling/analysis skills. Coming from back office without any exposure to that stuff, what does one have to do to be able to list having those skills with some credibility?
Of course self-learning these things but without the formal job experience, it doesn't carry much weight. So how can I list having the ability to do those things without having actually done it on the job?
