Finance newbie looking for analyst role.

Hi,

I have a analyst offer to go back into Risk Management after my final/senior year (I have spent a year there on placement). But would really like to go into WM. Have been advised to go in through IB. Where in particular should I apply for a really broad product range exposure? Also, would a graduate role in Risk be a disaster for WM in the future?

Destroy CV as you see fit :)

Have a great Tuesday!

This isn't bad really, but the industry is pretty set in its ways in terms of formatting. Look at the WSO student template or the Mergers & Inquisitions resume template to start. Also, most banks have finished or have st least stopped taking applications for full-time at this point. It's not impossible but will likely be a large undertaking to get into.

Start reaching out to anyone you know in the field. Let them know you're looking. Start reaching out to banks to see if they're looking asap. Keep networking and look at smaller boutique/regional banks that may not have started yet.

I know little to nothing about wm so the above advice only carries for IB or bust. Your risk management role could be better than a very small bank for wm but I have no idea.
