Forgot to change dates on resume

I'm a student in university. I used to work for a tiny, shitty startup (that's probably not even registered as an llc or anything.) I stopped being involved in the company last March (it lowkey fell apart because no body gave a fuck). I forgot to change my resume to the end date and left start date-present on my resume for the role I did.

Issue is, they recently made a website (there's one dude who actually works on the company part time) and of course I'm not on the team page.

I fired off a bunch of FT apps with this on my resume, what are the odds someone checks the website and sees im not involved anymore? what do I do?

No one will check the website but they may call someone to try and verify dates of employment for the background check. However, since it’s barely a company I highly doubt this would be an issue and you can just say your resume wasn’t fully updated (or that you transitioned to a much more minor role in the company for the last few months or smthng)

As long as it is not overselling your true potential as it may impact the salary structure. Otherwise they might simply ignore. A resume expert once told they go through each resume not more than 25 seconds.

I have a thesis that you can write pretty much whatever as long as you have the correct profile and everything looks good in general.

I have a strong profile and when I applied to a BB in London during 2022 for this summer, I somehow read their financial statement COMPLETELY WRONG and wrote that the reason I wanted to join them was that they were up in M&A fees despite everyone being down. I just didn’t see the - sign haha. Anyways still got into the process and made it to the final step where I dropped off

Moral of the story, I am completely retarded and people aren’t as thorough as you think
