Hi All,
I'm fixing up my resume for the first time since my internship ended. Since banking is the first position I've had with a division and group, how would I put that in my resume.
I was thinking something along the lines of this:
"Investment Banking Summer Analyst - Financial Institutions Group"
or
"Financial Institutions Group Summer Analyst - Investment Banking Division"
It just looks odd because it's way longer than any other title I have and it runs almost the width of the page. I was thinking of putting the group on a separate line, but that'd make the aesthetics even more odd.
Any suggestions? I'm a bit OCD about having my resume uniform and this is just throwing me off.

Consider possibly just saying "Investment Banking Summer Analyst." Then on the first bullet point where you give a general background on what you do, mention the group.

I'm working in a group that is a hybrid lev fin / sponsors group. For resume purposes / PE recruiting, should I be pushing one over the other (i.e., talking more about how I worked in lev fin or in sponsors)? Which listing on a resume would be the best (unless it really doesn't matter)?

I get a feeling that having both group names is a bit awkward, but I don't know. Thanks guys
Just pick one or the other and ask the Headhunters when you do your intro meetings. They'll have more context for what previous analysts have put. Alternatively, ask a second year.
