How should I list this on my resume?
Hi, I am working at a small regional M&A office and I am creating a database for all potential firms who have reached out to our office. I am using tons of VBA coding (granted a lot of code is online, I just have to make some tweaks) to make the database more effective and easier for the MDs to use. A lot of the coding is so MDs can just type in a particular strategy or keyword, and then excel creates a separate worksheet and list all the firms associated with the keyword like "management takeover" or "manufacturing industry".
How should I list this on my resume?
Built and maintained a database to help identify prospective strategic and financial purchasers
I just wasn't sure if there was a way to word it so they know I actually coded and built it basically from scratch. I feel like if I just say built, they would not assume it was from scratch
I think I will say: Using VBA to design and maintain a database to help senior management identify prospective strategic and financial purchasers more efficiently
OR
Designing and maintaining a database with VBA to help senior management identify prospective strategic and financial purchasers more efficiently
I know this is such a petty/small line item, but which one sounds better? Or any other suggestions?
How about a modified version of Beny23's:
Designed and built a database in VBA to help identify prospective strategic and financial purchasers
