How to put acronymized bank names on resume
Curious how to put acronymized bank names on the resume. I recognize this is probably bank dependent. Especially relevant for firms based outside of the US. For example, HSBC, MUFG, SMBC, RBC, BMO, etc. If you interned at BMO, would you put "BMO Capital Markets" or "Bank of Montreal"? For HSBC would you put "HSBC" or "HSBC Holdings" or write out the complete name of the firm? "SMBC" or "SMBC Group" or the full name?
It makes no difference so long as the audience understands what you mean. Nobody is going to misunderstand "HSBC" for instance.
Just avoid more colloquial acronyms (e.g. don't write "GS" if you mean "Goldman Sachs")
