How to put failed deal on resume?
Represented KKR on acquisition of a LargeCo, but BlackStone won the deal.
On my resume, can I put 'Sale of LargeCo to KKR' as deal is publicly announced with the winning sponsor or is this considered confidential info as the winning sponsor wasn't KKR?
Say Advised Sponsor on Acquisition of LargeCo
i can't drop the names of sponsor / largeco though right?
Sorry, I should’ve clarified. If the deal was announced and public with a press release, feel free to say the actual LargeCo name but be vague that you were advising KKR since technically it’s not public that they were bidding for the asset
e.g. Advised Financial Sponsor on Take Private of SolarWinds
If there was public press out at the time that KKR was bidding / showed interest, feel free to actually say Advised KKR…
