Internship Experience - Putting into Words

I'm in my 2nd year of my community college and hoping to transfer to a mid target/target school in May 2012. I had an internship in my freshmen year with a small local financial advisor. I'm looking to secure a practical internship(praktikum) in Germany with Deutsche Bank or Commerzbank before become a junior in college. Studied in Germany before moving to the States

I'm having problems putting my experiences in the internship into proper words. I'm going to type some stuff on what i did during an internship and hopefully I could get some help into putting them into proper words

  • Helped my supervisor into looking specific stocks for a few individuals with a 250-500k assets to invest in.
  • I help my supervisor into selecting specific mutual funds for individuals/ families with different backgrounds/needs/incomes
  • I went over multiple insurance companies with my supervisor in selecting the best insurance policy for individuals who are looking to protect their assets
  • Create a database spreadsheet for my supervisor (client's documents > spreadsheet)
  • Assisted my supervisor during workshops for clients who are close to retirement/ just started their job and are looking into IRA/ROTH accounts ( minimize their tax)

Thanks

  • Assisted financial advisor with stock and mutual fund research intended for clients with an array of different backgrounds
  • Completed analysis on specific clients and offered recommendations to financial advisor on the best insurance policy for each client
  • Compiled a database with clients information (be specific) with the intention of....
  • Prepared workshops for clients close to retirement and helped sell products....

This still isn't good, but it's a starting point

Are you translating this from your lebenslauf? If you want, you can PM me the original German and I can make suggestions/edits. (or just post it here) Assuming you have German citizenship, you should also look into opportunities with CS and UBS in Geneva
