irrelevant undergrad degree question

I did my undergrad degree in Building Construction and I am hoping to get a summer internship in PE in NY. I am currently interning with a PE placement firm, while pursuing a master in Econ. Should I include my undergraduate degree on my resume? or would it be better to keep it and give them a story about why I switched?

I would include it. Resume would look a bit weird without it.
