Can I ask where you're trying to land IB? Being from Korea and some experience in Canada, I think NYC might be hard. But Hong Kong or Toronto opportunities would be more plausible imo. It's awesome you go to 고려대 with great marks. Regarding the volunteering, I don't know if attending seminars is a good idea since they aren't long term "clubs" or "extras". But I could be wrong.

Also, you spelled address wrong. Just a typo.

Last note, I know schools in the US have a Korean finance society. I'm sure 고려대 has one as well so I would reach out!

  1. SNU is not a target for U.S.
  2. Firms will not give you the time of the day (why would they when they have a flood of other ivy kids lining up).
  3. Your resume format is not suited for finance. Look at some templates.
  4. You sound nerdy on paper. Work on presenting yourself as a fun person to work with.

Advice would be: 1. Recruit with HK offices then lateral to US 2. Use connections (family or univ)

You crave what you are not. Dude, your perspective on life sucks.
