Listing Projected GPA to Raise That Shit
I have a 3.03 and am still sending around resumes. If I get a 3.9 or 4.0 this quarter (ends in March), I'll be able to round to a 3.2. Should I list that now? If I don't hit that, I'll just say that some classes didn't go as well as expected.
I guess, will the higher chance of being looked at outweigh the risk of getting my resume dumped because of the GPA dump?
probably a really bad idea
What if you are wrong? A 3.0 isn't that different from a 3.2. Most firms will think its below a 3.5, that's all that usually matters.
Bad idea. People won't give you the benefit of the doubt if you say projected 3.2, which clearly means you're below that - at least that's how I would look at it. Projected 3.2 is not the same as 3.2 and if you list it and miss it, you will lose more credibility still.
Are you gonna send a projection spreadsheet along with it too?
Don't do that....
update: didn't do it. thanks, monkeys
Do it!
