Listing "Selected Transaction Experience" on LinkedIn?
I recently saw a few analysts/associates list this on their linkedIn and thought it looked a little funny. Do you guys mostly just save it for your resume for recruiting/lateraling? Or do most of you guys throw it up for everyone to see?
I just say something along the lines of "Provide support for capital raises and mergers and acquisitions" on LinkedIn, and then I list a few successful deals on my CV. They're actually posting their completed transactions on LinkedIn? Just me, but I think that's a little odd.
Yes, for example -
Selected Transaction Experience:
$50mm registered direct offering for ABC Corp.
etc...
That's odd. I just save it for the resume. And at some point, if they stick around in IB, I'll probably say something along the lines of "x transactions, representing $y"
I guess it could really go either way. As long as the deal actually closed, i don't see a problem with listing the names of the company.
Just thought it looked a bit odd.
If the companies weren't public and they didn't make the total consideration known to the public, it might also be against compliance, so it's something to be careful about.
Well in terms of a private placement, or a private equity takeover lets say. Once the deal is done, can't it be public information? Your saying after the deal is complete, there still could be some confidential info?
Yes. Have you ever seen press releases with the sentence "terms of the deal were undisclosed?" If you worked on the deal and know inside information that others don't know about, it may be against compliance.

Quis sit temporibus illum officiis nam. Velit totam quod sit placeat nobis.
