Looking For Resume Critcism

Hey, just looking for general resume criticism here. I transferred to this semi-target school (could be classified as a target but not a top 25 school). My GPA is n/a right now as I wait for this semester to end. Should be around a 3.8 but since I'm using this to apply as early as next week I'm listing it as 3.5+ for now. Trying to get a summer analyst internship, preferably at Morgan Stanley. If you would be willing to offer your opinion as to my chances of this happening that would be great as well. Thank you.

*I cannot post links yet but I have uploaded it to razume so if you add "documents/28876" to the razume URL it should work.

format is horrible.. dates aren't lined up. white space..

Look up M&I format. Non top 25 target is probably Stern. I'm sure you can ask your target classmates to help you on this.

You're a sophomore so don't expect morgan stanley unless you are diversity/connections/or insane stats (3.85/3.9+)

Get some Finance experience applying through your career service, and some extracurriculars to replace "Instructor and Video Producer"

Otherwise poker player and your startups are impressive.

Keep your GPA up and then apply for MS next year. Their deadline passed from what I heard.

Their deadline is Dec 14th actually. Wasn't too experienced with format, definitely need to fix a bunch of things there. Sort of thought it was a long shot. I guess all the top banks won't really consider a sophomore then?

Front office SA positions at MS are slated for a Jan 1 online application deadline, but being a sophomore it will be difficult to land a position without any direct connections that will go to bat for you. Look for a F500 company or boutique IB or AM company to land an internship this summer and then MS will be a viable option. Also do not have a 3.5+ on your resume, leave it at what it is currently and send an updated resume when you get your grades. The poker stuff is really cool though.

ct banker: I do not officially have a GPA yet due to being a transfer student. Should I explain why it says 3.5+? I dropped out of school initially to play poker.

that makes more sense to me, what was your transfer GPA, if it is in the realms of a 3.5+ I would add that in your education section. I am not sure what you should do about not having a GPA yet, maybe you can put N/A (first semester transfer) and when you apply just add a note saying you will send an updated resume when the semester is over. Also I would really suggest you changing the format to the link I posted.

I edited my resume to the recommended format and tweaked the overall flow and wording of it. Let me know new thoughts I suppose? It's the razume link with documents/28888 at the end.

Thanks

I sold it in 2005. I'm not sure what the company that purchased it did with it, but I didn't get the vibe that they were all that competent to begin with so I just assume they mismanaged their whole business and shut down.

This looks ten times better than you last one. Like I said before you should add the school that you transferred from along with the GPA and you should not lie and say you have a 3.5 when you do not have a GPA. Also under skills add MS Office. The only other formatting thing to look at is your dates. Under you first work experience date the wording is longer than the date and the alignment looks weird fix that. Also are you applying online or OCR, I just talked with the recruiter for SA Analysts today at MS and she said that deadline for their website is Jan 4th and first round interviews a couple weeks later with supper days at the end of January.
