Need help with an Executive Level Resume

This is my first time posting, so forgive me if I post something incorrectly. Let me know, and I will quickly change anything that is wrong. My father has been working at one of the major multinational Fortune 500 Banks (Morgan Stanley, Goldman, Citi...) for the last 26+ years now. Because of reasons out of his control they are now having to let him go. As I am completing my last year in college myself, I have come here on multiple occasions to find a range of wonderful advice.

Because my father worked with a single company for so long, he's out of the loop in terms of the work application process. He has a handle on most things, through the contacts he's built up over the years, but I am trying to help him in whatever ways I can. I was wondering if anyone new of a high end service that assisted in Resume/CV building. Keep in mind he will be applying once again within the financial sector but will also be looking into the Consulting sector. If there is anyone you guys could recommend I would greatly appreciate it. It would be ideal if they helped with cover letters as well. I am not sure if WSO deals with executive level clients but if they do I will go ahead and go through them, since I've already had pleasant experience with them in the past. Either way, I appreciate the help.

Also, I don't believe this is the right place to ask, but since I've already laid out the storyline; I was wondering if anyone knew what the best consulting headhunters in the US were.

Thank you so much for all your help, from what I've seen this is a great community :)
