NO INTERVIEWS LAST TIME - CV REVIEW LONDON SA 2021

Didn't get a single interview when applying for London IBD SA roles last time round (although did apply late and with little clue what I was doing). Want to get my CV perfect this time - would massively appreciate any advice/comments.

I'm started an internship at a PE firm this week but may have to send out a couple of applications before had the chance to do much. In this scenario, how would you recommend representing this on my CV, particularly in terms of bullet points?

Overall looks solid, nice job. Would be surprised if you don't get more looks this time. Just a couple of small pointers:

  1. "Blackrock should be "BlackRock"
  2. Reduce some of the modules you list you have taken, personally I would delete the last two as this would save you a line and they are the least applicable. Same applies to the Cambridge part, i would only include the modules that are actually helpful for IB like Valuation, Finance and Accounting.
  3. Would consider listing your A-level grades if you got something like three A stars.
  4. Would consider removing the B1 French as it is not a high enough standard to use for work.
  5. I would reduce the amount of things you include as an interest, and just leave c.3 of them, but qualify them. e.g. for golf, if you have a low handicap you can list golf (+3 handicap)

If you only got AAB for a levels, really good university results at a target, and a top tier internship etc., is it necessary to put a levels on CV, or can you just remove high school info?
