Non Target - Non Relevant - Still Think It's A Good Resume?

I need some help;

Please see my resume. I need some help with directing my path.

I'm thinking about highlighting my current career as more risk manager, and then combine that with being an insurance analyst and aim at things such as the Marsh's TRAC program or other major brokers like Aon, Lockton, etc and getting in their broker division before networking into IB. Or just as more relevant experience before going to a MS in Finance.

However, if I bump up my financial knowledge (such as through the Wall Street Prep) and maybe perform basic analysis of my company and nearby companies, do you think if I hit the ground I could get into a boutique here in Dallas?

Really considering an MS-Finance my GMAT practice was over a 710 and feel my work experience for being 20 is pretty great. Just not sure what to do from here if my goal is IBD.

  • I know my degree is interdisciplinary studies, however, my concentration was management, and I don't feel any qualms about doing "BA, Management (IS Program)" since it'll hide it until I can get in front of someone and show them I can do the work.

Any advice?

Looks good. Could be more consistent w/ formatting, either remove underline of additional info or underline all other section headers. Also random (maybe intentional) things are bolded such as "prospective clients reached by over 25%", keep the bold font to company names and section headers.

Thanks man; didn't even notice that. Let the bolding transfer over from a resume course which I had which part of your grade required you to bold what was relevant to the business. Will fix. That.

This is more of a comment on your career objective, as opposed to a critique on your resume, which is fine.

Based on your current experience at a construction company, have you looked into a career in infrastructure/project financing? It could be a surprisingly satisfying career choice. An example: There is this Spanish company Cintra, which a couple years ago was heavily involved in the Trans- Texas Corridor (discontinued as turned out) project. Working for an firm that advises (and/or finances) these types of companies and projects could be fun.

I mess with my resume so much I feel that it's very easy to make dumb mistakes. That's a pretty awesome take on things which I didn't consider. Might be going back for either my MS in Accounting or MS in Finance (can't decide) and that's a great option to look into. Thanks.
