Absolutely not. If you are applying for a job, it should be implied that your objective is to land the job. If it is a competitive job, such as an IB position, then it can also be assumed that you are seeking a challenging positions, etc, etc.

It is filler on a resume and you really don't need it - you've only got 1 page, so stick to the pertinent information - education, work experience, ECs, skills and so forth.
