"Over-Qualified" "Too Niche" Resume - Need HELP

Hi guys - I'm an entrepreneur who've primarily built/sold tech companies. I recently started an EMBA at Duke. I'm looking to get a job in VC or IB while I get my EMBA. I need help on the resume.

Tear it apart please -- I'm trying to spin what I've done to fit for VC roles. The biggest thing is everyone's saying I'm "overqualified"....

I applied to VC analyst roles and recruiters are telling me I'm way over qualified but the partners would love to chat with me...

And then inevitable they pitch me running one of their portfolio companies.

I don't wanna get stuck with all my eggs in one basket praying that portfolio company works out and they move me internal.

so i've thought about deleting some of my experience and changing my resume to look more entry level but that seems foolish. neeed help.
