Please enlighten me!

Hey everyone,

Recently I've came back from vacation and over this month and a half i've been actively looking for a job. I am a recent graduate from U of T, and I am seriously really eager to get a job in finance industry. I'm not looking for no IB, im just looking for a entry job in this industry so I can start going. My resume is probably nothing compare to whats posted on this forum. I just hope you guys can give me expert advice, suggestions to help my resume so I at least have a fighting chance for a entry level job. Thank you, and much appreciated. I will be forever grateful of this forum :).

Did you really just use the word 'Invigilated' on your resume? I don't know if I should be impressed or disappointed.

Personally, i would lose the CFA I candidate from your resume....you haven't done anything. I would also lose the 'references available upon request' line. That's a given.

This is awkwardly phrased and I would rewrite or eliminate:

"Developed good analytical and conceptual thinking in the area of business from achieving Academic achievement award in BOH4M1 (Organization Behavior)"

Have the same number of decimals in your GPA. 3.7/4.0 or 3.73/4.00 instead of 3.73/4.0.

Check all of the dates. The spacing between the dashes is all messed up. Some have no spaces before the dash, some do. In other places, you have no space between the month and the year Agree with above poster about changing the format entirely to the link that was posted.

Attempt to quantify achievements, when possible.

This isn't really a comment about the resume per se, but you better make damn sure that you can answer detailed questions about exotic option pricing if you plan on mentioning it in your resume in your job as a teaching assistant.
