Quick Margins Question

Hi,

I have a quick question regarding the margins of my resume. I have my margins set at 0.5 all around, but when I print the file the top is bigger than the sides and bottom. Do you know how to fix this?

Also, I've seen that on some windows computers the properties of the print job are set to "shrink to printable area." This shrinks my font on my resume so I was wondering if anyone knows how HR sets to view resumes. Is it all set to the same printable area, or is the margin formatting left alone?

One last thing, are 0.5 margins and 10 point font for everything except for my name acceptable?

Thanks for the help!

PDF vs .doc doesn't change the issue. Basically you've identified the issue, you have the option 'shrink to printable area' which downsizes it even when it doesn't need it. Toggle it to 'original' or 'full' or whatever the other choice is. You won't get any shrinking that way and it'll be a clean .5" all around.

I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.
