Rate my “tell me something that is not on your resume” answer

Hey guys, I’ve been revamping my interview prep workshopping some of my answers to the common interview questions. Is this too stupid/aggressive?

Banker: So tell me something about you that I won’t find on your resume.

Prospect: Well I’ve memorized all the telephone area codes in the US. You can go into your phone and find someone out of town and tell me their area code and I will tell you where they are from.

I know them all by heart so i would never get one wrong. Thoughts?

This is actually awesome hahaha. I would maybe phrase it a little differently.

"Well, a fun fact about me is that I've memorized all the phone area codes in the U.S. If you give me an area code, I can tell you where that location is."

I'm sure they'll ask why you have these memorized, so have a short fun/unique story to explain it.

This.

OP. That's awesome and actually unique/interesting/funny (depends on how you spin it). I know if I was interviewing I would think it is hilarious and kind of cool.

Questions like these (at least in my experience) are more about how to remember a candidate more than anything else. You'll be known as the "Area Code" person. Not too shabby. And if you are remembered, it is usually a good thing.

There will be plenty of lame-os and dicks who may give negative feedback or not like it or whatever. F-em. You won't be able to please everybody.

Good Luck

I used to do Asia-Pacific PE (kind of like FoF). Now I do something else but happy to try and answer questions on that stuff.

So the reason why is that I started memorizing them years ago when I realized I had grown up in areas with very similar area codes I.e. 301, 302, 303 (i didn’t grow up in MD, Delaware, and Colorado, just an example.) Then I wanted to know what the rest of the sequence was so I looked it up and then said fuck it why don’t I memorize all of them.

This is definitely a memorable answer. What are some of the worst responses to this question? I am really not creative and struggling to come up with one thatll make me stand out and is actually true not just made up.
