Resume for Big 4 position/internship
If I am applying for a position or internship at a Big 4 firm by simply "resume dropping" should I include in my resume that I will graduate with 153 credit hours out of the 150 needed to sit for the CPA exam?
I am, in credit hours, right on the edge of being a junior, currently, and I will graduate in December of 2015 with 153 (or 156) credit hours. 153 minimum though.
Any advice on this is much appreciated!
Just put expected graduation of December 2015. If you are getting a masters, the 150 will be assumed. If you are double majoring or getting your 150 credits some other way, put a line under education saying something like "150 hour CPA eligibility requirement to be met in December 2015".
Ok perfect, I am doing a Dual Degree in Accounting and Finance, so no Masters Degree sadly...
Not sadly, its a good idea. Save yourself some cash. As long as you meet the CPA requirements, that is. Make sure you look at the fine print. I know in my state, 36 hours of "upper level" accounting classes are required, which would require a Master's.
