Resume Format - Currently working as a manager in a MM BO

Hey Everybody, have a quick question in regards to Resume formatting.

I currently work in as a Manager in a middle/back office role at an institutional broker dealer. Though the firm is small and my experience is diverse and by no means a "cookie-cutter" back office experience I don't have much to do with investment analysis on a day to day basis. But, that's the direction I want to take my career.

That being said, I've been working on updating my resume in preparation for the push to change positions/firms. My buddy who just got into IB has been helping me and gave me the basic format used, with experience being the first section. But, considering my lack of direct experience in this area I was wondering if I should put the certifications section above the experience. Mainly because I have 7 licenses and have passed the first two levels of the CFA, and am working on the breaking into wall street modeling course work.

I figure with the once over most people give resumes I would jump out more if I listed all my certifications, most of which have to do with analysis, as opposed to my experience which mostly has to do with Tradering and Ops.
