Resume Review for FT Consulting + Other Financial Services companies

Hey guys,

Could you all give me your input on my resume? I can take the harsh comments so don't let back. I don't need nice -- ain't nobody got time fo dat. :p

Use a line that extends across the entire page under section headings, not just an underline. Education section is too long; second thing doesn't seem important enough to need that much space. Formatting in general is slightly weird imo, like the way you lay out Education with GPA, etc. Looks like you have an extra space before after Other in the Service and Activities section.

 

I think your bullets are much too wordy -- cut down on the prepositions and run-ons. A good rule is thumb is you should try to not repeat a word in any one sentence (or bullet). Absolutely do not have the same word appear +3 times in a bullet. Your first bullet under the consulting experience, for example, has the word "and"' appear 3 times, making the whole sentence sound bad.

Remember, less is more when it comes to writing a resumes. Be succinct and to-the-point.
