Resume: spell numbers less than 10?
Very minor resume question:
I was told that a number less than 10 should be written (e.g., nine instead of 9), but I feel the eye is drawn more towards a numerical digit.
e.g.: "Managed a team of 9 executives..." or "Managed a team of nine executives..."
Not sure what the rule is for resumes, but the AP Stylebook (Associated Press) says to write out numbers less than 10.
I've forgotten where I read it (possibly M&I) but it recommended using the digit for the very reason you suggested. It has more impact.
Use a digit wherever you can.
