Resume story advice - summer associate

I started working with a boutique investment bank in the spring and am continuing as a summer associate. They won’t be hiring anyone full time nor do I want to work there post MBA graduation(t15 school).

As I look to recruit full time in the fall I am wondering how best to craft my story. Should I put the spring portion of the work on my resume or simply frame the experience as a summer associate internship? I wouldn’t even know what to refer to my time there in the spring as, as I wasn’t a “summer associate”.

Would love to hear what the people who hire would want to hear. Thanks!
