Review Sophomore Resume for UBS

Hello,

I am a rising Sophomore at non target and I am interested in the UBS presidents internship next summer. I'm not really holding my breath but the head of FT IBD recruiting, and one of the HR staff who does campus recruiting are both alumni of my school so at the very least maybe they can get my resume looked at if nothing else.

I've been trying to update my resume but I am having a hard time with the wording of what I've actually done at my previous internships so any help would be appreciated since non of my work experience screams finance but that will hopefully change in the next week as I interviewed at a good size PWM firm owned by GS recently and hopefully I'll have that internship throughout the school year.

  • Is it "Presidents list" or "President's list"?
  • Why did you put a ";" after your GPA?
  • I would change the Research Assistant section. On the right you have city, state, and date but for that one section you have "Finance Department" and you have an awkward white line underneath "Research Assistant". I would make it look something like this:

XXXXXXXXXX, Finance Department Research Assistant

Then to keep things consistent have the date and town/city on the right side.

Under my tutelage, you will grow from boys to men. From men into gladiators. And from gladiators into SWANSONS.

I'm not sure if you particularly care, but just fyi, it is fairly easy to see your full name, address and phone number. If for whatever reason, you want to keep any of the above to yourself, I would remove the resume and do a better job at blocking it out.

Also, I'm curious about your decision as to which salary range to select, as it does not reflect anywhere near what entry level jobs pay.

Not an expert by any means but you have A LOT of white space going for you buddy.

I haven't looked at the M&I template but you should def get a more organized template[M&I or a friend's]

You should add one or two more bullets for third intern position to make it more uniform.

You can prob take out the relevant coursework because all finance majors normally take the same classes.

Split work and leadership into two different categories and if you dont have enough positions than just do leadership and projects..

Also, you should probably put some skills down on your resume if youre gonna have it as title for that section
