Sensible to mention WSO
is it sensible to mention WSO on a covering letter or not? the role is for a gap year position and I have basically said that it has helped me to gain an insight into global financial situations
I don't think this site is quite popular enough...may just want to say something more generic...
Also, WSO is too career-oriented...if you read something more "professional" (for lack of a better word), I would mention that instead
Ummm... no, absolutely not.... you're better off trying to spin whatever insight you've gained on WSO as insight you've gained by networking with industry insiders... shows more initiative than reading a blog/forum.

WSO shouldn't appear on any cover letter or resume, nor should it be mentioned in an interview unless it's brought up first, which I doubt it would be. This is an online forum that's likely 95% populated by unemployed college kids, with a spattering of street professionals around to tone down the oft-nonsensical rhetoric and add points of value where needed.
